"The challenge in the scripting and also in the shooting was, How does she bring him out of his trance? How does she really get back to him? We set it up in that scene in his fear landscape where he’s going to kill the innocent—that’s one of his fears, one of the things he doesn’t want to do—and the only way he can do it is by looking away, he can’t watch himself. And Tris is the only one that knows that, she’s been inside his head, she knows that’s his one weakness in terms of this. So to force him to confront what he’s really doing is the thing that pulls him out of his trance.” ~ Neil Burger
jen7waters Do you remember posting something about Tris touching Four’s tattoo—and about how Four looks over his shoulder almost flinching? Cus no one had touched him softly in a long time….he was beaten, abused..then basically forced to fight in Dauntless, become this…hard badass. Then here is this girl, running her fingers down his back. Kinda reminds me of this scene a little. There is a much deeper meaning than what you first see.
